May 2012 Seed Savers Meeting

Everyone's welcome to come along to the next Seed Savers meeting on Sunday, May 6. Come and join us for a chat and cuppa and learn more about the local edibles that grow well in our region.

Sharing a cuppa, interesting conversation & seed saving skills

We'd love you to bring:
  • any surplus plant materials or seeds you have to share;
  • a plant you want to identify or are having problems with
  • a leaf, fruit, veggie, herb or other plant that grows really well in your garden - we'd love to learn more about it; or
  • a garden book from your home library you find useful.

Bring some of your surplus to share & take home goodies for your garden

Our group enjoys sharing local knowledge and tips and we'll be talking about what to plant now ... preparing for winter crops like brassicas, beetroot, celery, peas, beans, strawberries, shallots, Asian greens, silverbeet and more.

Plus of course, it's time to plant your garlic.

Purple, soft neck and Russian garlic varieties all grow well here

Check out this tutorial '5 Step Guide to Growing Gorgeous Garlic' so you can get planting now.

We look forward to seeing you.
